NEW ZEALAND DIPLOMA IN KITCHEN DESIGN
BCITO’s New Zealand Diploma in Kitchen Design is a 2-year Level 5 qualification that gives designers the skills they need to create functional and beautiful kitchens. The first year of the course focuses on the mechanics of kitchen design, including spatial design and ergonomics, while the second year looks at aesthetic elements such as colour theory, as well as lighting design.
Students attend one 5-day block course per year. The rest of each year consists of on-job training, during which students complete written assignments and workplace assessments with support from their employer and a dedicated BCITO Training Advisor.
Block courses are tutored by experienced, award-winning NKBA designers.
