NEW ZEALAND DIPLOMA IN KITCHEN DESIGN
BCITO’s New Zealand Diploma in Kitchen Design is a 2-year Level 5 qualification that gives designers the skills they need to create functional and beautiful kitchens. The first year of the course focuses on the mechanics of kitchen design, including spatial design and ergonomics, while the second year looks at aesthetic elements such as colour theory, as well as lighting design.
Block courses are tutored by experienced, award-winning NKBA designers.

On-job Training |
After each block course, students complete on-job training with support from their employer and a dedicated BCITO Training Advisor. |
Assignments |
4 (2 per year). Assignments are completed during on-job training and each one takes around 40-80 hours to complete, depending on the student's level of industry experience and employer support. |
Who is the course aimed at? |
Designers who are currently employed in the kitchen industry and have at least 6 months experience designing kitchens using CAD software. |
