Designed as a bold departure from convention, Midnight Magic transforms a compact powder room into an unforgettable guest experience. The clients wanted a space that would surprise and delight, creating an immediate sense of intrigue while remaining sophisticated and contemporary. Rather than treating the powder room as a purely functional space, the vision was to create a memorable destination within the home that encouraged curiosity and conversation.
At the heart of the design is a dramatic basin crafted from translucent blood-red resin. Illuminated from within, the sculptural basin glows with remarkable intensity, creating a striking focal point that immediately captures attention upon entry. A custom timber screen subtly conceals the toilet beyond, introducing warmth and texture while balancing the boldness of the feature basin.
Dark, atmospheric finishes establish the room’s moody character, with matte black mosaic tiles and tinted concrete flooring providing a layered backdrop for the more theatrical design elements. A backlit mirror enhances the sense of depth and drama while drawing attention to the immersive feature wallpaper. The whimsical design envelops the room in a fantastical landscape of hidden creatures and lush foliage, inviting guests to pause and discover new details with every visit.
