Designed for a retired couple building their forever home, this is a kitchen that brings together old-world elegance, modern functionality and a strong sense of occasion. Created as the heart of a classically styled new-build residence, the space was designed to feel both grand and welcoming, supporting everyday living while effortlessly accommodating family gatherings, formal entertaining and special celebrations.

The clients envisioned a kitchen rich in character, with warm timber tones, generous proportions and a timeless aesthetic that reflected the architecture of their home. Central to the design is a substantial island that anchors the room, providing a natural gathering place for family and guests. Throughout the kitchen, sweeping curves soften the scale of the cabinetry, creating a sense of flow and refinement while enhancing the room’s regal presence.

Careful attention was given to balancing display and functionality. Illuminated glass-fronted cabinetry showcases the owners’ treasured collection of decorative pieces, adding personality and warmth, while dramatic stone surfaces create striking visual focal points.
